Day 1: Vancouver – Arrival
Arrival. Pick up your vehicle at the airport.
Your adventure begins in Vancouver, a vibrant city nestled between the ocean and the mountains. Discover the city's treasures. Stroll along the Stanley Park seawall, explore the historic Gastown district, and sample local specialties at one of the excellent seafood restaurants. Vancouver welcomes you with a unique blend of nature and urban culture.
Day 2: Vancouver
Make the most of this second day to explore further. Visit Granville Island and its market, cross the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, or take the gondola to the top of Grouse Mountain to admire the spectacular view of the city and mountains. The more curious among you can visit the University of British Columbia to explore the Museum of Anthropology or take a stroll through the botanical gardens.
Day 3: Vancouver
For your last day in Vancouver, treat yourself to a nature getaway depending on the season and your preferences: whale watching cruise, day trip to Capilano Suspended Bridge and Grouse Mountain...
At the end of the day, settle down in front of the ocean.
Day 4: Kamloops
You leave the coast and head inland toward Kamloops, in the interior of British Columbia. The journey offers stunning rolling landscapes, with forests, rivers, and lakes. Upon arrival, relax with a stroll along the Thompson River or enjoy a tasting at a local winery or craft brewery. Kamloops is an ideal stopover to break up the journey and enjoy a change of scenery.
Day 5: Valemount
Continuing northeast, you will reach Valemount, a small town nestled in the heart of the mountains. The environment here is peaceful, conducive to relaxation and contemplation. If time permits, take a short hike in Wells Gray Provincial Park. It is a beautiful natural stopover before reaching the Rockies.
Day 6: Jasper
The landscapes of Jasper National Park are spectacular: snow-capped peaks, deep forests, and high-altitude lakes surround you. Explore the area with a visit to Maligne Canyon, a stroll along the shores of Patricia and Pyramid Lakes, or hop aboard the Jasper SkyTram for an exceptional panoramic view.
Day 7: Jasper
This extra day allows you to explore Jasper at your own pace. Set off in search of Athabasca Falls, relax in the Miette Hot Springs, or go hiking on the park's trails. The region is also renowned for its abundant wildlife: it's not uncommon to encounter elk, bears, or bighorn sheep.
Day 8: Banff
Take the legendary Icefields Parkway, one of the most beautiful roads in the world, connecting Jasper to Banff. Along the way, stop at Columbia Icefield, Sunwapta Falls, or Peyto Lake to admire breathtaking scenery. When you arrive in Banff, discover the alpine charm of this town nestled in the heart of the mountains. Why not end the day in the hot springs or with a good meal in town?
Day 9: Banff
Get up early to visit the famous Lake Louise and Moraine Lake before the crowds arrive, then go hiking or take the Sulphur Mountain gondola for spectacular views of the Rockies. Downtown Banff, with its shops and restaurants, welcomes you for a warm and friendly evening.
Day 10: Calgary
The last leg of your journey takes you through the foothills of the Rockies to Calgary. Along the way, you can stop in Canmore or simply enjoy the gradually changing landscape. Once in Calgary, take the time to visit downtown, the Calgary Tower, or the Glenbow Museum.
Day 11: Calgary – Departure
Free time depending on return flight time. End of tour and return of rental vehicle at the airport.
